AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia's industrial output grew 12.8% year-on-year in January-November 2019, according to the National Statistics Office.
The industrial output amounted to 16.0 trillion Mongolian tugriks ($5.8 billion) during the period, said the NSO.
The growth was mainly attributed to a significant increase in the output of main mining and extractive products.
The volume of coal production rose by 38.1 percent, while the production of other mining products increased by 12.6 percent from a year ago, it said.
Mining is one of the main economic sectors of the inland Asian country.
Presently, mining products account for more than 80 percent of the mineral-rich country's total industrial production.
