“Last time the restoration works of the bath house were carried out in 2000 on occasion of the 3,000th anniversary of Osh. Two months ago we sent a letter to the Designing Institute. To develop a plan of rehabilitation, 140,000 soms are needed. Historians, chemists, archaeologists will work on the plan. Restoration will take 1-2 years,” Ubaidullaev said.
The construction techniques, diversity of used materials make the bath house a unique and underestimated monument. The stoves, pool, baths with decorations and the foundation remained. Pottery and glass dishes, glass vessels and coins were found during the digs, he said.
