Seven mothers in Osh face termination of parental rights

AKIPRESS.COM - Termination of parental rights is considered for 7 mothers in Osh, Gulzina Raeva, head of the family and children protection department, said.

The documents were prepared for forwarding to courts.

“We will file petitions to the court. These mothers abandoned their children. They left them either in orphanages or at their relatives and then stopped seeing them at all. Some of them are homeless, others are prostitutes,” Gulzina Raeva said.

One of the women is held in the remand prison after she tried to sell her child. Another was detained for prostitution.

“All of them are single mothers and can’t support their children. Their children were taken to a rehabilitation center temporarily,” Raeva said.
