Mongolia to return 400 people from China

AKIPRESS.COM - As of February 14, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Mongolia; however, more than 120 suspected people have been isolated, news.mn reported.

According to health officials, six Mongolian students who returned from China’s Hunan Province, have been isolated for observation of potential infection. The students returned on February 13 with last flight between Beijing and Ulaanbaatar as Mongolia suspended all flights and train services with China.

Another 31 Mongolian students who were evacuated from Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, will be released from quarantine tomorrow. The students have been isolated in National Center of Communicative Disease for 14 days.

In addition, people suspected in Dornod, Bayan-Ulgii and Dornogobi Provinces, have been diagnosed as being coronavirus free.

L.Munkhtushig, Director General of the Consular Department said that the Foreign Ministry is ready to evacuate the remaining 400 people in China by chartered flight, if they wish to return home.
