Over 300 guests attend UCA Open House in Naryn

AKIPRESS.COM - The University of Central Asia (UCA) welcomed over 300 students, parents and high school representatives from Akzhar, At-Bashy, Batken, Naryn, Balykchy, Bishkek, Chok-Tal, Kant, Karakol, Naryn, Talas, Tokmok, and Osh to its Naryn campus in Kyrgyzstan on February 16.

The University’s Open House event is conducted annually to provide an opportunity for students and parents from across Kyrgyzstan to visit the campus facilities, learn about its academic programmes, financial aid opportunities, as well as meet UCA faculty, staff and students.

Dr. Diana Pauna, Dean of UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences, welcomed participants and spoke about the mission of the University, programmes, and shared insights with participants on the importance of choosing the right university. Guests were also briefed about how money is not a barrier to education at UCA. Financial aid is guaranteed for all accepted students, including grants, and interest-free loans, providing up to 90% of financial aid, as well as full merit-based scholarships.

Jyldyz Sarieva, UCA Student Association Representative, and resident of Naryn city, shared her experience of why she chose to study at UCA, and spoke about various opportunities that UCA provides to its students, such as participating in international conferences, and its internship programme.

The University of Central Asia (UCA) offers an international standard of education at its state-of-the-art residential campuses in Naryn (Kyrgyzstan) and Khorog (Tajikistan). It offers undergraduate programmes in Computer Science, Communications and Media, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Economics, with curriculum developed with leading Canadian, Russian, Australian, and other international institutions.
