Coronavirus: Kyrgyzstan temporarily shuts down nightclubs, movie theaters, computer clubs

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan temporarily shuts down nightclubs, movie theaters, cafes and playgrounds for children in the malls, and computer clubs to prevent coronavirus spread in the country, government ruled on March 16.

No cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kyrgyzstan as of March 16, the epidemiological situation is stable, according to the Ministry of Health.

341 people are quarantined in Kyrgyzstan as of today and 143 countries have confirmed cases of coronavirus.

More than 153,000 cases were reported worldwide.

The Ministry of the Interior said 15 people were detained in Kyrgyzstan for spreading fake news and rumors about coronavirus.  

"Every citizen should understand the seriousness of the situation, follow the recommendations of medical workers and take necessary preventive measures, strictly observe hygiene and explain it to the children," Deputy Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova noted.
