Turkey confirms country’s first death due to coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - Turkey reported its first death of a coronavirus patient and 51 new cases, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a televised press conference late Tuesday.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Turkey increased to 98 from 47 as of late Tuesday, Koca said.

The 89-year-old patient is believed to have contracted the virus from someone related to China, Koca said.
