AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan opened the account for transfer of donations to support the efforts to prevent COVID-19 from spread.

Dr. Prof. Akylbek Musaev, head of surgery unit of the Bishkek hospital No. 2, transfered his monthly salary of 18,000 soms to the special account for Covid-19 fight.

Head of the Federation of Trade Unions for Osh and Osh region Sydyk Ashimov donated 100,000 soms to 5 hospitals in Osh region.

Staff members of the Ministry of Agriculture donated their one-day salaries of 321,000 soms in total for Covid-19 fight.

The Asian Development Bank delivered 20,000 medical gloves to the storehouse of the Ministry of Health.

The Soros Foundation - Kyrgyzstan provided support to social residential institutions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in form of personal protective items valued at 355,000 soms, including 4,000 medical gloves, 2,880 shoe covers, 1,000 liters of antiseptics, 10 protective coveralls.

Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzneftegas Rashit Bostonov and his deputy Talaibek Rysaliev donated their one-month salaries, workers of the company donated their one-day salaries. 2.145 million soms were transferred int otal. These funds were handed over to medical facilities and law enforcement agencies in Jalal-Abad and Osh regions.

Staff members of the State Tax Service donated their one-day salaries to the special account for Covid-19 fight in the amount of 2.3 million soms.

The international educational institution Sapat donated 500,000 soms. Humanitarian aid in form of personal protective items were handed over to health workers and police officers stationed at quarantine checkpoints and roadblocks in Osh and Jalal-Abad, who were also provided with hot meals.

The Soros Foundation - Kyrgyzstan handed over personal protective items to the State Penitentiary Service valued at 458,400 soms. The aid included 30 protective coveralls, 10,000 shoe covers, gloves, 1,000 liters of antiseptics. This aid will be distributed among penitentiary institutions and a hospital for prison workers.

Staff members of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Japan, Mission of Kyrgyzstan to UN in New York, Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Switzerland transferred funds for Covid-19 fight.

Vita Talas dialysis center handed over 7,000 masks to 4 regions in Talas and 5 protective clothing items to the regional hospital.
