AKIPRESS.COM - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Head of country office of UNICEF in Turkmenistan Christine Wiegand.

During the meeting, successful long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the effectiveness of programs developed and implemented at the national level were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on further steps to improve measures in the field of digitalization of education, health, social protection and emergency preparedness.

The parties discussed Turkmenistan's activities in the field of ensuring and implementing children's rights in the context of Sustainable Development Goals, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
