Kyrgyzstan confirms 21 new COVID-19 cases, 1,138 in total

AKIPRESS.COM - Twenty one new COVID-19 cases were confirmed by the morning of May 17, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said.

These new cases included 6 in Naryn region, 3 in Chui region, 2 in Bishkek.

10 cases were confirmed among citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who were evacuated from St. Petersburg. They were taken to the observation point after arrival. These are cadets of militry education institutions.

A penitentiary system worker, a long-haul truck driver, medical workers are among confirmed cases.

The total number of confirmed cases reached 1,138.
