New harvester helps farmers of Jumgal district gather crops
AKIPRESS.COM - A harvester valued at 4.5 million soms (around $57,000) was obtained for Bash-Kugandy village, Jumgal district, Naryn region, local agricultural department chief Talantbek Moldokeyev said.
Three rural municipalities purchased new harvesters earlier, he said.
Grain harvesting is 70% complete now. The yield made 25 centners from a hectare.
This year farmers have sown 4,500 ha with cereals, including 2,500 ha with wheat and 2,000 ha with barley.
