Turkmen farmer grew giant cucumber weighing 27 kg

AKIPRESS.COM - Hemra Babayev, a 69-year-old resident of Sayat in Lebap province of Turkmenistan, has grown a giant cucumber, Turkmenportal news agency reports.

The weight of the giant cucumber reached 27.1 kg, the length is 96 cm.  The second giant cucumber weighs 21 kg.

With his wife Zohre Babayeva, they rented 20 acres of land concluding an agreement with the Sayat etrap maintenance department to restore the orchard.

Now the family receives a good harvest from more than 100 trees of different varieties: pear, cherry, fig, apricot, plum.

Between the trees, the farmer has set up a vegetable garden to grow tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, and strawberries.
