United Arab Emirates donates medical supplies to Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated 48 tons of medical supplies to support Mongolia to contain COVID-19 infection, Montsame reports.

The supplies included 450 boxes of medicines, medical supplies, face masks and protective gear and equipment.

In regard with it, President Kh.Battulga today received Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the State Emergency Commission Ya.Sodbaatar and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Mongolia Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al-Tunaiji.

Emphasizing that the aid of medicines and medical supplies donated by the UAE is essential to healthcare workers and emergency officers working at frontline to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the President expressed sincere gratitude to the government heads of the UAE on behalf of the people of Mongolia and personally.

While conveying greetings of the government heads of the UAE to the President of Mongolia, the Ambassador expressed his hope that the world countries could overcome difficulties of the pandemic with mutual understanding and Mongolia could curb the pandemic.

During the meeting, Deputy PM Ya.Sodbaatar briefed current situation of COVID-19 infection in Mongolia and expressed to immediately distribute and deliver the first 150 boxes of medical supplies, donated by the UAE to organizations and aimags, those are in urgent need, from today.
