AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia reported 6 new cases of COVID-19 in Ulaanbaatar after testing 11,800 people nationwide yesterday, Ministry of Health reported on Dec 24.

The new cases included one person, who arrived on a Tokyo-Ulaanbaatar chartered flight on December 21.

5 other cases were hospital-acquired ones in the Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar city.

No new infections were recorded in Selenge, Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon, Gobisumber and Arkhangai regions in the last 24 hours.

As of today, total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia has reached 1069 and 584 recovered. No deaths were reported.
