Turkmenistan registered Russia's Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan announced the registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology with the support of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, the state news agency of Turkmenistan reports.

 Turkmenistan became the first country in Central Asia to officially approve the use of the Sputnik V vaccine on its territory, the statement said.

It was another step in the fight against infectious diseases and strengthening scientific and medical multilateral cooperation, to the development of which the Turkmen leader pays great attention, putting forward international initiatives in this area, maintaining active cooperation with specialized structures of the United Nations, including WHO.
