Cultivated land area increased by 6.5 thousand hectares in 2021 in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Cultivated land area increased by 6.5 thousand hectares in 2021, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Janybek Kerimaliev on January 21.

In 2020, the government started financing the purchase of seeds for farmer, he said.

Subsidies were given for wheat, barley and corn seeds, he said.

"At the end of the year, the harvest was very good. Our seeds are mostly 80-90% conditioned," he said.
