168 Mongolians airlifted from Frankfurt

AKIPRESS.COM - A charter flight in route Frankfurt-Ulaanbaatar landed at Buyant-Ukhaa international airport in Ulaanbaatar city on March 18, Montsame reports.

The charter flight brought 168 Mongolian nationals back from Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland, Italy, Finland, Czech, Belgium, Turkey, France, Austria, Zambia, Jordan and Bulgaria. There were 17 elders, 2 pregnant women, 15 people with health concerns, 40 families with small kids and 94 people with other reasonable excuses among them. The returnees have been placed under isolation at “Toyoko Inn” hotel.

Since the closure of the country’s border due to the outbreak of the pandemic last year, a total of 31 thousand Mongolian citizens have been repatriated to their home country, around 24,000 citizens by 136 charter flights and some 7,0000 citizens through auto road border points.
