Mongolian coronavirus frontline doctors to get 1,000,000 tugriks

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian government approved incentives to healthcare employees working on the COVID-19 frontline.

MNT 1 million of one-time incentive will be paid to every doctor, nurse and medical employee responding to COVID-19 and MNT 500,000 to every resident doctors, Montsame reports.

The necessary funding of MNT 2.78 billion will be sourced from the government’s contingency fund.

There are 2,230 healthcare workers and 1,100 resident doctors working on the frontline to combat COVID-19 pandemic and their work burden has increased drastically since November 2020 as the community transmission of COVID-19 in the country has been growing nonstop, putting them at risk of being infected.
