New ethnographic museum to appear in the village of Orto-Oruktu in Issyk-Kul

AKIPRESS.COM - Construction of an ethnographic museum began in the village of Orto-Oruktu, Issyk-Kul region.

Head of the village, Boronbai uulu Maksat, said the local residents had been collecting historical exhibits for three years and therefore, a plot of land of 5 hectares has been allocated for this purpose.

The area was fenced off and the foundation of the museum was laid.

The Ministry of Culture was notified about the construction, which is fundraised by the villagers on their own.

"In his ethnographic museum, foreign tourists will have the opportunity to learn more about the life of our ancestors, traditions and customs," said the villagers.
