Putin, Tokayev had telephone talk

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kremlin said.

The heads of state warmly congratulated each other on the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The leaders underscored the special significance of this common holiday for the peoples of their countries who treasure the memory of those who heroically fought the enemy and those who worked selflessly on the home front.

They also discussed a number of practical issues on the bilateral agenda with an emphasis on trade and economic cooperation and interaction in combatting the coronavirus pandemic.
