AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia confirmed 2,461 new cases of the coronavirus on Oct 2.

1,298 new cases were detected in the capital city, with 1,163 cases in rural regions.

As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia now stands at 309,064. 8,254 patients have made recoveries in the past 24 hours.

19 new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, raising the country’s death toll to 1,241. Currently, 20,764 people are receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19 whilst 62,420 people with mild symptoms of COVID-19 are being isolated at home.

Of the total patients currently undergoing treatment at hospitals, there are 11,588 patients in mild, 6,654 in serious, 2,158 in critical, and 364 in very critical condition.
