New project supporting young entrepreneurship kicks off in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Enactus Kyrgyzstan, with the financial support of the European Union Program for the Development of Democracy and the Protection of Human Rights, has launched the project “Young creative entrepreneur”. The project aims to create sustainable employment and income generating opportunities for rural youth, women and vulnerable population in Green skills and technologies related activities in line with the SDG vision and the Human Rights protection.

Within the framework of the project, students from all regions of Kyrgyzstan and young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to implement their agricultural startups. AgroHubs (Resource Centers) will be based at regional universities and public organizations.

AgroHubs will be the resource centers for young people where they will receive qualified education and the opportunity to test their entrepreneurial skills to improve the socio-economic well-being of their regions. The hubs will be equipped with all necessary technical support to develop entrepreneurial skills and launch startups.

Specialized trainings for young people, meetings with entrepreneurs to exchange experience, and consultations with experts will be conducted either. The project is expected to develop 50 startups within the hubs, of which 15 will be funded in the amount of 3000 euros each. And also 5 youth initiatives will be supported within the project to the amount of 6000 euros by local youth organizations.Special attention will be paid to events aiming to assist women initiatives in the regions. It is planned to involve universities, NGOs, and local self-government organizations in the regions in the activities of the project.
