Mongolian president, UK ambassador discuss ties

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh received UK Ambassador Philip Malone on Oct 29, Montsame reports.

Khurelsukh thanked the British Government for its valuable contribution to the implementation of COVAX Facility, which is significant to increase the vaccination of Mongolian citizens amid the pandemic.

Noting the successful development of friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the United Kingdom, the President expressed support for strengthening relations with the UK - a third neighbor, expanding trade and economic cooperation, developing renewable energy production, protecting the environment, as well as combating climate change and desertification.

Saying that he would actively support the Mongolian-British trade, economic and environmental cooperation, the Ambassador emphasized that the ‘One billion trees’ nationwide campaign, initiated by the President of Mongolia to combat climate change and protect the environment, is a timely action.
