
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Dmitry Kozak, Vice Chief of Staff of Russian President's Administration, on January 19.
Dmitry Kozak passed greetings and best wishes from President Vladimir Putin.
They noted that the agreements reached at recent meetings and contacts at the highest level gave a strong impetus to strengthening of strategic partnership and enhancing multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Russia. Bilateral trade is growing, major industrial cooperation projects and priority humanitarian programs are being implemented, they noted.
The President of Uzbekistan underscored importance of further development and utililzation of potential of large-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
Views were also exchanged on the situation in Central Asia in the light of the events that have taken place in the region.
