Italian anthropologist appointed as Mongolia's Cultural Envoy

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmunkh Battsetseg has received Italian anthropologist, Mongolist David Bellatali, who has been appointed as Mongolia’s Cultural Envoy, and presented a Certificate of Cultural Envoy of Mongolia, Montsame reports.

Davide Bellatalla has been carrying out anthropological research on the ethnic groups of Mongolia since 1992 and made a significant contribution to promoting Mongolia internationally through his research, articles, and books. Moreover, he has worked with the Mongolian Red Cross Society and other NGOs on humanitarian projects and programs for more than 20 years. He wrote numerous books such as “Tsaatan”, “The Great Journey-Silk Road”, etc., reflecting the Mongolian way of life, religion, customs, and traditions.

During the presentation, David Bellatali expressed his commitment to put all his efforts to continue to promote Mongolian culture and heritage throughout the world during his tenure as Mongolia’s Cultural Envoy.

Mongolia appointed 52 Cultural Envoys in 18 countries, including the United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Japan, the United States, South Korea, Turkey, Austria, Australia, Spain, and India, 32 of whom are Mongolians, while 20 are foreign nationals.
