AKIPRESS.COM - On March 20, the staff of the Ak-Tatyr kindergarten in the village of Chaek, Jumgal district, Naryn region, cooked a sumolok in honor of the Nooruz.

The principal of the preschool Elzat Tursunalieva said that it's a tradition for the kindergarten workers to cook sumolok every year for the festival.

"The district administration assigned us this responsible job to cook sumolok for Nooruz. We're cooking it for the second year in a row. In the preparation we use sprouted wheat, oil, flour, raisins, dried apricots, sugar, stones, etc. We cooked it all night long, wished all the good for the people of Kyrgyzstan. This sumolok was cooked for 12 hours," she said.

The dish was served to all those who came to the central square of the district for the festive event.
