AKIPRESS.COM - Tashkent will hostthe largest economic conference for Austrian companies “Austria Connect Central Asia" on June 1-3.

Company representatives from Austria, branch managers of Austrian companies and expats will discuss current economic topics and business development issues with leading industry experts from Uzbekistan.

The theme for this year’s conference will be: "Rising Star Uzbekistan: New Opportunities along the Silk Road".

Austria Connect is an initiative of the Austrian government aimed at promoting Austrian business abroad. As part of the initiative, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber holds the same conferences in the most attractive regions annually or every two years.

During Austria Connect Central Asia, Austrian businesses will be provided with comprehensive information about the economic potential, investment opportunities, legislation, and fiscal policy of Uzbekistan.

As part of the Austrian business mission to Uzbekistan, it is also planned to organize G2B and B2B meetings, visit manufacturing enterprises of domestic manufacturers of export products and present investment projects. In addition, the Silk Road Biz Award ceremony will take place to award the most active Austrian companies in the CIS region, UzA reported.
