AKIPRESS.COM - The biggest number of libraries in Kyrgyzstan is located in Chui region - 211, said the National Statistical Committee on the book day.

In total, more than 1,000 libraries of different types and profiles existed in Kyrgyzstan in 2021.

In addition to public libraries, there are school libraries, libraries in higher and secondary educational institutions, medical, technical, agricultural libraries, as well as libraries belonging to the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
