
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev discussed by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin the development of their strategic partnership and thanked him for agreeing to attend the meeting of the heads of state in the Central Asia - Russia format, Interfaxreported.
"Kassym-Jomart Tokaev thanked Vladimir Putin for agreeing to attend the summits of the CIS, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, and the meeting of the heads of state Central Asia - Russia, which will take place in Nur-Sultan in the middle of October," the presidential press service said.
Tokaev and Putin noted the effective interaction between the governments on the implementation of top-level agreements and agreed to maintain permanent working contacts.
"The leaders of Kazakhstan and Russia exchanged opinions on the further development of relations of strategic partnership and alliance between the two states in the spirit of mutual trust," the report said.
