AKIPRESS.COM - Tashkent hosted an International Conference “Afghanistan: Regional Connectivity, Security and Development”, UzA reported.

The forum was a logical continuation of the International Conference “Afghanistan: Security and Economic Development” held in Tashkent in July this year, which confirmed our common interest and focus on strengthening the security and development of Afghanistan.

The event was organized by the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The conference was attended by delegations from the security services and intelligence agencies of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Advisor – Speechwriter of the President Khayriddin Sultanov read out a greeting message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the event.

Following the conference, representatives of the participating countries defined specific tasks and areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, and confirmed their commitment to the joint fight against terrorism, which poses a serious threat to regional and global security.
