AKIPRESS.COM - The opening ceremony of the office of the EU Delegation in Tashkent was held on October 28.

President of the European Council Charles Michel noted the fruitfulness and constructiveness of the talks with the President of Uzbekistan. He highly appreciated the role of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the implementation of political and economic reforms, ensuring their irreversibility.

The President of the European Council noted that during the talks, issues of a peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan and the negative impact of the war in Ukraine were also discussed.

Charles Michel stated that the EU Delegation in Tashkent should play an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing the agreements, UzA reported.
