The President of Uzbekistan congratulated the leader of Azerbaijan on his birthday, wishing him good health and prosperity, as well as peace to the people of Azerbaijan.

It was noted with deep satisfaction that, due to the regular dialogue at the highest level, the strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are developing dynamically in all areas.

The trade turnover has grown by 50% since the beginning of this year. The practical implementation of cooperation projects is underway, including in the energy sector, to expand the production of cars, create cotton-textile and sericulture clusters, produce building materials and other products.

A joint investment fund is being created to support promising cooperation projects.

The heads of state noted the importance of building up the portfolio of direct trade contracts and long-term investment agreements.

It was emphasized that a delegation of Uzbekistan is visiting Baku these days to agree on measures to accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects.
