AKIPRESS.COM - Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Asein Isaev, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the international roundtable discussion on “Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan: New prospects for the strategic partnership”.

They discussed the results of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz Republic on January 26-27 this year with an emphasis on joint measures for the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level.

The schedule, organizational and content aspects of the planned contacts between the parliaments, governments and regions of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were considered. The main attention was paid to enhancing collaboration in culture and education.

The sides discussed issues on several events held as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan diplomatic relations, including the Culture Days of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan.
