
AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan decided to send 50 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria during a meeting of the Commission on International Humanitarian Aid, vlast.kz reported.
"It was decided to send humanitarian aid of 50 tons to the Syrian Arab Republic, which suffered from devastating earthquakes. Canned food, warm clothes, winter tents, beds and bedding will be allocated from the state material reserve," the statement on the Prime Minister's website says.
The aid will be sent through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Aleppo by four flights.
Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev earlier instructed the government to provide humanitarian assistance to Syria.
