AKIPRESS.COM - A roundtable discussion was held with the participation of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer on “The Future of Aviation: Uzbekistan. Embraer Day, UzA reported.

The company is a leader in manufacturing medium-capacity passenger aircraft (up to 150 seats). It satisfies 29 percent of the needs of the global market for this class aircraft. More than 2,000 Embraer aircraft exported to 70 countries are operated by 130 airlines.

At the event, a presentation of Embraer aircraft took place, and the prospects for cooperation were discussed. The Embraer Vice President, João Pedro Taborda, noted that the aviation and tourism industry is rapidly developing in the Central Asian region, and new private airlines are appearing on the air transportation market. Readiness was expressed to supply short and medium-range aircraft to airlines operating in Uzbekistan on favorable terms. The participants exchanged views on the diversification of international flight destinations to increase the number of tourists coming to Uzbekistan, as well as on the benefits of Embraer aircraft.

A decision was made to purchase E195-E2 aircraft in June this year as part of a special advertising program implemented by Embraer around the world, and to organize an Asia Connect conference for the aviation and tourism industries’ representatives.
