Turkmenistan, Qatar ink cooperation documents

AKIPRESS.COM - His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow witnessed on Monday the signing of several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between the governments of the two countries, at the Amiri Diwan, The Gulf Times reported.

His Highness the Amir and President of Turkmenistan witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of disaster management between the governments of the two countries, an MoU for cooperation between the Public Prosecution Office of the State of Qatar and the Prosecutor General's Office of Turkmenistan, and an MoU for cooperation in the field of youth between the governments of Qatar and Turkmenistan. His Highness the Amir and President of Turkmenistan also witnessed the signing of a programme for cooperation in the field of sports between the Ministry of Sports and Youth in the State of Qatar and the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports in Turkmenistan for the years 2023-2024.

His Highness the Amir and President of Turkmenistan also witnessed the signing of an agreement to encourage and protect mutual investments between the governments of the two countries, and an MoU between the Ministry of Labour of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, in addition to an agreement on an exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports and service between the two governments.

A number of Their Excellencies Ministers and ranking officials attended the signing ceremonies.

On the Turkmen side, members of the official delegation accompanying the President of Turkmenistan attended the signing ceremonies.
