AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm organized an online meeting between the Ministry of Water Resources of Uzbekistan and the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, UzA reported.

Director General of the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management Jakob Granit, and heads of departments of the Agency spoke about Sweden’s experience in water management.

Director of the Information-Analytical and Resource Center of the Ministry of Water Resources Zokir Ishpulatov informed the Swedish experts about the ongoing work in Uzbekistan on water management and the use of renewable energy sources.

Jakob Granit highly appreciated the ongoing large-scale work to eliminate the consequences of the Aral tragedy, announced during the participation of Uzbekistan delegation at the UN Water Conference, in New York.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation between the Ministry of Water Resources and the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, including holding workshops and joint events.
