AKIPRESS.COM - Secretary General of Organization of Turkic States Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliyev delivered a public lecture themed "Vision of the Organization of Turkic States on Development of Regional Cooperation on the Silk Road" at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy in partnership with the embassies of the OTS member states accredited in Austria on March 31.

The lecture was moderated by Ambassador Emil Brix, Director of the Vienna School of International Studies, and was attended by the ambassadors of OTS member and observer states, heads and representatives of other diplomatic missions, the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international organizations based in Vienna, as well as students of the Academy.

In his speech, the OTS Secretary General briefly spoke about the goals of creating the Organization of Turkic States and its role in development of multilateral comprehensive relations between the Turkic states, as well as regional cooperation.

Ambassador Omuraliyev presented the Turkic World Vision 2040 and the OTS Strategy for 2022-2026, which set out the medium and long-term goals of the Organization as a means to overcome the challenges of the modern era.

The Secretary General stressed that the OTS promises to be a strong and transparent platform for growing cooperation and solidarity in the Turkic world in the coming years.

The public lecture was received with great interest and was followed by questions and answers, where the Secretary General and Ambassadors of the OTS member states answered numerous questions from the participants.
