AKIPRESS.COM - Delegation of Uzbekistan led by First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Sodik Safoyev met with members of the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm, UzA reported.

First Deputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Kenneth Gustaf Forslund and Deputy Speaker Kerstin Margareta Lundgren, as well as members of the committees on foreign affairs, constitutional issues and cooperation with the OSCE took part in the meeting.

Safoyev informed the participants about the constitutional reforms of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden.

The Swedish side stated that it supports the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, including changes in foreign policy.
