AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) Olga Algayerova as part of the Second Tashkent International Investment Forum program on April 27, UzA reported.

The parties discussed issues of developing multifaceted cooperation with the UN institutions, including the ECE, on the accelerated achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The fruitful interaction within the framework of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia was noted with satisfaction. Interest was expressed in continuing a productive exchange on Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization and implementing the Green Space program, projects for digitalizing cargo transportation and the textile industry.

Issues of further enhancing cooperation with the UNECE in priority areas were also discussed at the meeting.
