AKIPRESS.COM - The public transport fleet is being updated in Samarkand, UzA reported.

Maroqand Trans 777 LLC delivered 100 modern Chinese buses running on compressed gas at the end of 2022 and the beginning of this year.

The first six electric buses of China's Yutong arrived in Samarkand as part of the Green City project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. They are located in the fleet of Samarkand Yulovchi Trans SE.

According to the Regional Transport Department, 94 more electric buses will arrive in Samarkand by the end of the year as part of this project.
