AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation led by Deputy Vice Rector for International Affairs at the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry Ulviyya Abbasova arrived at Samarkand State University, UzA reported.

The purpose of the visit is to establish international relations and discuss the joint implementation of Teaching Mobility and Staff Mobility projects within the framework of the Erasmus program.

The guests met with Vice Rector for International Cooperation of Samarkand State University Akmal Akhatov. During the conversation, the parties focused on implementing work on grant projects in the educational sphere and establishing student exchange.

An agreement was reached on active cooperation in information technology, geology, chemistry-technology, mechanics, and economics. The possibilities of academic exchange between teaching staff and students were considered.

Issues of attracting leading specialists in geology and mechanics of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry to work at Samarkand State University were also discussed at the meeting. An agreement was reached to send Uzbek teachers for a short-term internship in Baku to study the experience of the Azerbaijani-French University at the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry.
