AKIPRESS.COM - The Indian side chaired a meeting of heads of ministries and agencies of the SCO member states responsible for the development of information and communication technology (ICT), held via videoconference on May 13, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization said.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on cooperation in digital development. They discussed information security, application of artificial intelligence, optimisation of the digital environment, preservation of the IT ecosystem, the necessity of introducing a data processing system, the involvement of IT specialists, etc.
The participants discussed a wide range of issues related to further strengthening digital cooperation between the SCO member states. They decided to start a regular exchange of experience in this field within the Organisation, in particular as regards development of the digital public infrastructure.
SCO Deputy Secretary-General Grigory Logvinov delivered welcoming remarks on behalf of the Secretariat.
