
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with President of China Xi Jinping in Xi'an with the participation of members of official delegations of the two countries.
The heads of state discussed the development of bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as expanding partnerships in trade, economic, energy, transport, investment and other fields, according to the state news agency of Turkmenistan.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Xi Jinping also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and global politics of mutual interest. The similarity of the parties' approaches to solving urgent problems of our time was noted at the talks.
The head of Turkmenistan thanked the Chinese leader for the invitation and expressed confidence in the high effectiveness of bilateral negotiations and the first summit of the heads of state of the "Central Asia - China" format.
After the meeting, the two heads of state signed multiple bilateral cooperation documents in science and technology, customs and other fields.
