AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Mammedova is on a working visit to Rome on June 4-7 to implement the agreements reached between two countries in the field of cultural and humanitarian relations, the Foreign Ministry reported.

Deputy Prime Minister M. Mammedova met with Minister of Culture of Italy Gennaro Sangiuliano at the Ministry of Culture on June 5.

During the meeting, issues of development of cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and Italy were discussed, including practical steps to hold an exhibition of unique artifacts of Turkmenistan in Italy.

The organization of joint events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi in 2024 was considered as well.

The plans of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Italy regarding the presentation of a collection of poems by Magtymguly Fragi, translated into Italian for the first time, were announced.
