AKIPRESS.COM - A number of documents on bilateral cooperation were signed in the presence of the prime ministers of Mongolia and China on Wednesday, Montsame news agency reported.

The conclusion of the intergovernmental agreement on international road transport allows for the promotion of the transport sector of both countries, the implementation of transportation on mutually facilitated conditions, the coordination of modes of transport, the implementation of transportation by freight forwarders to and through third countries.

Strengthening cooperation in the transport sector, which is the main sector of economic relations between Mongolia and China, is essential to strengthen the foreign trade base and create a multimodal transport gateway.

Additional agreement on the technical assistance project in conservation of the Gobi brown bear (Mazaalai), conlcuded in 2018, was extended. It provides the parties with the opportunity to conduct more extensive research aimed at improving the habitat of the Gobi brown bear, increasing their population and protecting them.

Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange and cooperation in relation to state-owned property and objects aims to share experience in the management of state-owned companies, the implementation of social responsibility and technological innovation, as well as to promote mutually beneficial and practical cooperation between state-owned companies in many areas.

The Protocol on Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements for the Export of Washed Wool and Cashmere from Mongolia to China, and on the Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements for the Export of Sheep and Goats Destined for Slaughter between the two customs departments are aimed at strengthening cooperation in this area, including the creation of a legal framework for the activities of veterinary clinics and compliance with sanitary requirements in accordance with international standards.

Memorandum of Understanding between the Mongolian Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange allows the parties to cooperate in the exchange of market information, the development of shares, debt instruments and investment fund products, the improvement of corporate governance, as well as the organization of conferences and seminars.
