AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov met with Ambassador of Mongolia to Uzbekistan Dashdorj Bayarkhuu, UzA reported.

The Minister noted that an agreement was signed on the establishment of a joint Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission during the visit of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhjin Batsumber to Uzbekistan. In addition, a meeting with the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia is scheduled for September this year.

It was noted that the possibilities of joint cattle breeding in Mongolia and subsequent export to Uzbekistan for meat processing create the basis for large-scale industrial cooperation.

The parties exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation in agricultural sector and mechanisms for implementing projects developed within the framework of cooperation.
