
AKIPRESS.COM - Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies on July 11 hosted a meeting with representatives of the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (NISS), who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit to get acquainted with the experience of Uzbekistan in reforming the national economy, UzA reported.
The sides discussed state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and the current issues on the international and regional agenda.
The experts appreciated the level of preparation and conduction of the electoral campaign in Uzbekistan.
NISS representatives stressed the importance of Uzbekistan's political and economic reforms. They expressed interest in interaction and exchange of experience in organizing the activities of technology parks, free economic zones (FEZ), pharmaceutical zones, and various clusters.
Kyrgyz experts supported Uzbekistan's foreign policy, which aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation, industrial cooperation, and interregional interaction.
The parties also expressed their readiness to expand research ties further and organize several practical events to develop expert dialogue.
