China allocates $12 million grant to improve quality of education in Uzbekistan
AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Commerce of China and a computer manufacturing company, UzA reported.
The parties discussed bilateral cooperation issues and long-term plans.
It was noted that a $12 million grant was allocated to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education as part of the second stage of the project on improving the quality of teaching foreign languages and computer science in 5-9 grades.
The funds will be used to supply 20,848 educational computers to 1,303 secondary schools in Uzbekistan.
