
AKIPRESS.COM - The delegatin of Uzbekistan was sent to Singapore to study experience of this country in fight against corruption.
The delegation is led by State Anti-Corruption Agency Director General Akmal Burkhanov.
The Uzbek delegation establishes cooperation between the anti-corruption agencies of the two countries in order to adopt the optimal solutions into national practice.
Meetings are taking place at relevant ministries and agencies.
A meeting with representatives of the Corruption Practices Investigation Bureau and the Prosecutor General's Office of Singapore took place on the first day of the visit.
Talks were held on several important issues such as the formation and implementation of state policy in combating corruption, the role of relevant agencies and prosecutor's offices in this direction, ensuring transparency and accountability of the activities of state bodies, and the system of professional development of civil servants.
The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation and establish a regular exchange of experience.
